HP Jornada 680 or 690 Series Palmtop English Keyboard P/N F1262-60906 - New

This is a brand new ENGLISH replacement keyboard for a Jornada 680 or 690 series PDA. This is not a refurbished keyboard, it is new from the HP parts facilities. So if your keys have worn out, stick, have fallen off (or been eaten by your dog) then this replacement key board will get you typing again!

We have these keyboards in other languages too and we have additional new parts for Jornada 680 / 690 series PDA repair.

Note: This keyboard also fits some of the Jornada 700 series models.

Installation Notes:

This is a pretty easy installation, you will need a Torx T-5 or T-6 screwdriver to remove three screws from the bottom of the unit (the ones that have arrows pointing to them).

Once you have the screws loose, lift up the keyboard a little bit at the bottom and you can see where the cable attaches to the rest of the Jornada.

Carefully loosen the retaining bar on the connector by GENTLY pushing it away from the connector a little bit.

Do NOT push it out of the connector!

Then slide the cable out and reverse the process to put the new keyboard in.

Note that there are some metal tabs at the top of the keyboard that tuck in at the top.

It should take less than 5 minutes to replace this part!
