Palm Tungsten W Parts - Replacement LCD Screen Only - NO Digitizer - P/N 170-3775A ACX709BKP-7

This screen was pulled from a Tungsten W but it will also work in a Tungsten C!

THIS IS THE LCD ONLY. IT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE DIGITIZER.

If your LCD (the actual part that makes the image) is dead, missing a few lines or is 'bleeding' then you can save a few dollars by only replacing the LCD and not the LCD and digitizer (the glass that sits over the LCD. The digitizer is the actual part that you touch).

So if you are buying this item then you already have a compatible digitizer to put over this LCD.

TIP: Be very, very carefull when you cut the digitizer off your old LCD. If it's made out of plastic then the job is pretty easy but if it's made out of glass then you should take great care in removing it so it does not crack. Also be carefull not to cut the little cable that connects the digitizer to the back of the LCD!

There is a layer of foil on the back to prevent interference with the cellular function of the Tungsten W (which we peeled back in one of the pictures to show you the part number and where it's located). If you decide to use this panel in a Tungsten C then you might want to carefully remove the foil.

Installation Tip: When you disconnect the ribbon cable from the back of your old LCD be sure to lift it from the side and do so GENTLY. Do not lift up on the cable from it's corner as it might cause some of the connecitons to pull away from the cable.
